In Calgary, a city of a million people, almost 40% of people have or will experience some type of sexual violence in their lifetime. To counter this shocking statistic, Calgary needed a site that could start a conversation about the implications of sexual violence in our own communities. We worked with Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse to craft a bold, unflinching message tailored to educate and inform our community. A focus on dramatic imagery, gritty textures, and bold content and typography captured the attention of both youths and adults. The message? Sexual violence does not belong in our world.
