Sarah Dallas

Hi! My name is Sarah Dal­las and I am orig­i­nal­ly from Cleve­land, Ohio. I have moved around and have been in the South­west for 10 years now— most­ly in New Mex­i­co but just moved to Den­ver, CO. 

I went to col­lege lat­er in life and grad­u­at­ed in 2015 from UNM at the age of 30 with a degree in Non-prof­it Arts MGMT, Span­ish and Sculp­ture. Over the last 10 years I have worked most­ly in the cre­ative space with non-prof­its and star­tups. I’ve worked in Fab­ri­ca­tion, Pro­duc­tion and Mar­ket­ing in indus­tries span­ning from Cre­ative Art cen­ters, Design/​Build, Fine Art Fram­ing, Themed Enter­tain­ment, Live Stream­ing, Tiny House Builds, Solar Ener­gy, run­ning my own design/​build com­pa­ny and usu­al­ly teach­ing in some capac­i­ty on the side. 

I am cur­rent­ly work­ing for a Cre­ative Brand Stu­dio and even though I con­sid­er myself a tech­ni­cal­ly savvy per­son— I have a lot to learn about the Design to Dev process in the web space! We are a small, lean team of about sev­en. I am also inter­est­ed in learn­ing best prac­tices in pro­tect­ing our teams time and devel­op­ing a sol­id infra­struc­ture that we can fol­low with con­fi­dence and ensure excel­lent client expe­ri­ence whilst hold­ing bound­aries and charg­ing what the ser­vices are worth. 

I fight for social jus­tice and have got­ten polit­i­cal­ly involved in every com­pa­ny I have ever worked for. For bet­ter or worse! :D I believe that com­pa­nies should aim toward a triple bot­tom line of Peo­ple, Plan­et and Prof­it and have start­ed guer­ril­la activist groups at most star­tups I’ve worked for. One even got for­mal­ly rec­og­nized as an enti­ty and they con­tin­ue to do great work! 

I live in Gold­en, CO with my boyfriend Julian, and our shep­ard-mutt, Bear, with her brindle paws that we call sparkle boots. We are out­doorsy, food­ie, artist/​makers who love our careers as well as fight­ing for the work/​life balance.
